Conference Registration Hours and Location:
Registration for the technical sessions will take place at the ICM centre. To enter the ICM centre please take the main Entrance West (named "Haupteingang WEST").
CLEO®/Europe-EQEC 2015 registration counters are located on the left side at the end of the main corridor just prior you enter the exhibition halls.

Internet and W-LAN Lounges:
All congress participants using their own laptops/notebooks/pads have free access to two W-LAN Lounges located at the Congress Centre (ICM):
- ICM foyer Süd
- ICM main foyer of the ICM main entrance.
Internet is with high-speed access and unlimited download.

In the rooms, only the wifi-version with limited bandwidth and limited download volume is available.

Messe München will use its own WIFI infrastructure at World of Photonics Congress 2015 and offers free wireless internet access to all congress attendees.

To use the Messe München WIFI at the ICM, attendees require a WIFI-compatible terminal device and in addition an SMS-enabled device to receive their access codes.
The bandwidth is up to 1.5 Mbits/sec. Reception quality and signal availability depends on structures, number of users and other sources of interference in the Congress Center and can not be guaranteed. The download volume is limited to 50 MB per user/per day.
Use case / target group
Attendees with a WIFI enabled device (such as a notebook, netBook, Tablet, Smartphone), which just like

  • to check their emails
  • to search for train and flight schedules
  • to read or create information on social networks like Facebook, Linked-in or XING.

Since this product is a free service of Messe München, there is no support for the end user provided. This is not possible due to the varied devices and their configurations.

It works like this:

  • Switch on the WIFI function on your terminal device.
  • Search for wireless networks and connect to the messeWifi network.
  • Start your Internet browser.
  • Enter any Internet address.
  • The portal page of the free WIFI will appear on screen.
  • Once you have registered (surname, first name, moblie phone number) and accepted the General

Terms and Conditions (AGBs), you will receive an SMS with the access code. Once you have entered this code, you may access the Internet. Important! When you register, be sure to enter your mobile telephone number, because the access code that you need can only be sent to you by SMS. Messe München will provide support for problems with the SMS reception.

  •    You only need to register one time during the entire event.

Conference Management:

Conference management is provided by the European Physical Society, 6 rue des Frères Lumière,F-68200 Mulhouse, France.


Language:
English will be the official language of the conference.


Passport and Visa Requirements:
Foreign visitors entering Germany must be in possession of a valid ID or passport. EU nationals, in general, do not require a visa, however most other non-German participants do. Please click here to find out whether you will need a visa or not. Delegates from countries requiring visas should apply to the German consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries.

Those who need a visa must satisfy the visa requirements of their local German Embassy/Consulate including

  • a Visa Invitation letter
  • a confirmed travel booking, including flight, train and/or bus bookings, hotel reservation and health insurance 
  • a confirmed order for their online registration as well as any special local requirements. 

Therefore, all participants requiring a visa should first register to CLEO®/Europe-EQEC 2015.
 
Contributors requesting a letter of invitation should pre-fill the invitation letter and return it to the European Physical Society (to conferences@eps.org) to be duely signed and returned to the recipients.

Important: The invitation letter will only be sent to contributors who have submitted a contribution. The reference of the paper will be asked.

The filled out invitation letter must be taken, along with the conference on line registration confirmation and all travel documents to the German Mission (Embassy or Consulate) responsible for their present place of residence to apply for a visa.

Only email invitations will be sent. In case an express air shipment needs to be done, this needs to be specified in the email request. All costs pertaining to this shipment need to be paid in advance (70€)

NO INVITATION WILL BE SENT AFTER 15 JUNE 2015.

Possibly invitation letters coming from the World of Photonics Congress organisation in Munich can also be requested. For this purpose please use the following link for your request:

Places to Visit in Munich:

Munich city and its famous "Marienplatz" is always full with tourists from all around the world. Munich is a very attractive town. There you will always find something to do (shopping, restaurants, bars, walking around the market place, visits of museums, churches, beergardens, and so on). Usefull on site Information: 

Pharmacy:
The nearest pharmacy is “SaniPlus” in the Riem Arcaden shopping center. It is located on the ground floor in the right portion of the building, just a three-minute walk from the West Entrance.

Opening hours: Monday through Saturday 09:00 - 20:00.

Bank:
A ReiseBank branch is located at the Munich East train station (Ostbahnhof, Orleansplatz 11) where you can made deposits (to ReiseBank and other banks), exchange currency and transfer funds.

Münchner Bank has a self-service branch in the Riem Arcaden shopping center, just a three-minute walk from the West Entrance. It is equipped with an ATM (deposits and withdrawals), an account-statement printer and a service terminal.

Sparda-Bank has a branch office in the Riem Arcaden shopping center, just a three-minute walk from the West Entrance, where Sparda-Bank customers can make deposits and withdraw funds. They do not exchange currency there.

Optician:
Optician “Fielmann” has a retail outlet in the Riem Arcaden shopping center, just a three-minute walk from West Entrance.

Post office:
Deutsche Post has a small branch office in the Riem Arcaden shopping center, just a three-minute walk from West Entrance (lower level next to the “Edeka” supermarket).

Dry cleaning:
“Pan-o-tex” dry cleaning is located in the Riem Arcaden shopping center, just a three-minute walk from West Entrance.

Travel office:
A “TUI” travel office is located in the Riem Arcaden shopping center, just a three-minute walk from West Entrance.
